Actually wanted to blog about this earlier, but didn't wanna do so till things are confirmed...and although it's with a slightly heavy heart that i'm writing this now [yea we didn't get shortlisted into the top 16 :( ] , it still brings back much joy and adrenaline rush just looking back at it. yup, so without further ado, i present to you...
after registering. waiting in line for our turn. we were the THIRD band to audition. eeks. was super nervous tho i look all happy and smiley there.
getting ready when the second band was auditioning up there. didn't really catch note of their performance cos i was so busy feeling nervous and singing to myself. but jacob said "don't worry la, just look at this band! it will make us look much better later."
lol. yea they didn't get through.
and before we knew it, it was our turn!
setting up on stage. yes the pink stockings is moi.
and we started our performance..
feel free to criticize however you want..but after having been through this experience, i conclude that it's all too easy to stand below and criticize at the hopeful performers. wait till you get a chance to step on that stage and perform yourself, you'll be singing a different tune then.
after our audition
doing some interviews.
reporter: so how much did you guys spent on your outfits for today?
jacob: well my black shirt was bought in far east for 36 dollars. then for the ties, they were actually 7 dollars each but the boss gave us discount cos we bought a few and it became 5.50.
last but not least, photo-taking frenzy! the pictures are all side-profile cos yea, our friends weren't allowed to come in so they could only snap from the side when the photographers were snapping us.

proceeded to KFC for lunch after that. was on an adrenaline so high to feel hungry.

my chao ji fen si! hahaha. the moment i smsed them "we're the 3rd band to audtion, starting soon. COME NOW!" they rushed down immediately and made it in time for our performance :D
dearest self-proclaimed KKs! haha and efficient ones were they. carrying my bag for me, calming me from my nerves, buying one whole pack of tissue paper for us knowing that we'll have to perspire in the sun while waiting. super sweet girls :D
although we didn't make it to the final 16 (tho i still can't fathom why cos my band was simply fantastic), it was nevertheless an unforgettable experience. and the band was great to work with too. well, our journey doesn't end here, right? hehe.
and with that, i end with my final words:
YOU WILL REGRET IT FOR NOT SHORTLISTING US INTO THE TOP 16 FINALISTS!!!!!!!!
okay, there, now i feel much better. hahaha. :D

were supposed to report at 9am (damn freaking early) and i had to get up at like 6.30am?? madness. never got up at such an early time in a long while already. anyway just a side note, the outfit i wore took me approximately 7 hours to source out?? goodness. i was dying. i think i never felt like shopping was such a chore until that day i tried to look for an audition outfit. ah tan can attest to that cos she was my companion (unfortunately for her haha).
